What's New With Vacations by Rail This Winter

canadaFor the winter 2013-2014 season, Vacations by Rail is offering three new winter train vacations in Canada

The new itineraries are:

Winter in Banff, Jasper and Whistler- A 9-day vacation to three of Western Canada’s spectacular resort towns. Highlights include overnight train travel aboard Canada’s premier overnight train, VIA Rail’s Canadian; Banff sightseeing; a Maligne Canyon ice walk in Jasper; and, a spa day in Whistler.

Winter in Western Canada - An 8-day vacation to Vancouver, Jasper and Edmonton. Highlights include Vancouver sightseeing including panoramic views from Lookout Tower; overnight train travel aboard VIA Rail’s Canadian; and, a Maligne Canyon ice walk in Jasper.

Winter in Eastern Canada - Includes stays in Toronto, Montreal and Saint Alexis des Monts. A special highlight of this 9-day vacation is a 3-night stay at the Hotel Sacacomie including access to their magnificent spa. Special features of this seasonal getaway include city sightseeing in Toronto and Montreal and dogsledding and snowmobile excursions in Saint Alexis des Monts.

Departures for all three vacations are available from November 2013 to April 2014 and start at $1,799 land-only, per person based on double occupancy.
