Donate to the John Bloodworth Fund Through Sail 4 Cancer and Cruise118

The John Bloodworth Fund will help send cancer patients and their families on respite breaks. John Bloodworth, former CEO of Thomas Cook Group, PLC, UK, and co-founder of a new branch of Online Vacation Center, passed away on Oct. 12 at the age of 62, after a long battle with cancer.

The John Bloodworth Fund was created by Cruise118 and Sail 4 Cancer to celebrate this man who contributed more than 30 years to the travel industry.

Born in a small town outside Dallas, Bloodworth rose from a baggage handler at Delta Air Lines to holding executive positions at Delta, The Oaks Inc., Alamo Rent A Car, Pan Am World Airways, My Travel UK and My Travel USA, and Thomas Cook Group, PLC, UK and Ireland.

A few hours before Bloodworth passed away he wrote a simple note to his family and friends that said “have a great party.” Those who knew Bloodworth will attend events in his honor on Nov. 11 in the UK and on Nov. 13 in Florida. In the future, annual events will continue to raise money for the John Bloodworth Fund.

Donate to the fund through the Sail 4 Cancer website or texting SAIL04 and the amount to 70070 e.g. SAIL £5.
