As the world’s travel restrictions continue to evolve, the French Government, as of August 1, has rescinded all of its COVID-19-related travel restrictions and testing requirements for any travelers entering the country as well as its territories.
What this means:
- Travelers no longer have to complete any formalities before their arrival in France (including mainland France and its overseas territories), and the presentation of the health pass is no longer required, regardless of the country or area of origin
- No further proof of travel (the "compelling reason") is required
- Travelers no longer have to present a sworn statement of non-contamination and a commitment to undergo an antigenic test or a biological examination on arrival in the national territory.
Note: Foreign states are likely to retain specific measures and formalities for access to their territory.
As for travel to St. Barth’s, the island’s Tourism Committee noted that all of its restrictions have been dropped. That said, travelers should note that the electronic health authorization system (EHAS) form is still required to enter St. Maarten (the gateway to St. Barth's), but there are no longer any COVID-19 or vaccination questions included.
This announcement comes ahead the St. Barth’s upcoming high season, which will kick off with the annual Gourmet Festival, being November 8-13, 2022. Internationally renowned chefs visit the island’s leading hotels and host gourmet dining experience and chic parties.
