Finnair Announces New Flight Service to Chicago for Summer 2015

Finnair, the Finland-based member of the OneWorld Alliance family of air carriers, is set to launch service between Helsinki and Chicago from June 13 to October 17, 2015.

Departing Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the flights are intended to improve connections between the Illinois hub and other primary transfer points such as San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The flights will use an Airbus A330 aircraft and leave from Helsinki at 5:25 p.m., arriving in Chicago the following day at roughly 6:40 p.m. local time. Return flights to Helsinki depart at 10:00 p.m. and arrive the following day at 2:50 p.m.

Also in the summer, Finnair will begin flights to Athens, Dublin, Malta, and Split. At the same time, a prior route to Hanoi has been cancelled for 2015.
