Actor Randy Quaid, Wife Arrested for Skipping Out on Hotel Bill

Maybe it’s time for Randy Quaid to hit up his younger—and more famous—brother Dennis for some much needed cash. Randy and his wife, it seems, are having trouble paying their bills. The couple was arrested in Texas Thursday for failing to pay off a $10,000 hotel bill they purportedly incurred at the San Ysidro Ranch in California.

And here we sat thinking that Quaid had all the money in the world; he had a lovely turn in the cult classic “Kingpin” as an Amish man with a prowess for bowling and slayed as Chevy Chase’s redneck relative in “National Lampoon’s Vacation.” Alas, the 58-year-old actor and his former model wife don’t mind skipping out on hotel bills.

At least they did it at a great hotel. The San Ysidro Ranch is a Rosewood Resort located in Santa Barbara, CA, and tucked in the Montecito foothills (Vivien Leigh and Sir Laurence Olivier exchanged vows there).

The hotel has 41 individually decorated private cottages and suites, which wind along San Ysidro’s hillside creek- and tree-lined paths. The recently renovated suites and cottages feature hot tubs on private outdoor patios with outdoor rain showers.
