AMResorts Announces New Mexico and Caribbean Properties

caribbeanAMResorts, a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group, has announced plans to grow the company's portfolio in 2015 and beyond with five new resort contracts in Mexico and the Caribbean.

The new deals will expand the company’s footprint in the Dominican Republic with Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa and Dreams Dominicus La Romana; Mexico with Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa; Costa Rica with Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica; and to Aruba for the first time with Zoëtry Isla Di Oro Aruba.

“We anticipate significant investment opportunities in the Americas in 2015, as demonstrated by the rapid growth of its hotel market and strong tourism figures last year. The Caribbean alone saw a 5 percent increase in the number of tourists, and Mexico saw close to a 20 percent increase in tourists visiting in the first half of 2014,” said Alejandro Zozaya, CEO of Apple Leisure Group.

“Mexico continues to be a priority as Apple Leisure Group expands into highly desirable destinations with diverse offerings through AMResorts, including our latest entry into Aruba. Our aggressive growth strategy has successfully established our footprint in 23 destinations in eight countries,” said Javier Coll, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Apple Leisure Group.

The company also expanded its in-country team with the recent addition of Director of Development Dominique Bertholet based in Cancun, Mexico. Bertholet is responsible for maintaining and fostering new relationships in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, and will serve as an additional resource for hotel owners interested in entering the all-inclusive sector.
