AMResorts Drops Pursuit of Origins Trademark

AMResorts, which has properties in both Mexico and the Caribbean, announced it has decided not to pursue the trademark Origins. Origins Wellness & Spa Resorts was originally slated to be the name of a new brand AMResorts will be launching. The flagship property for that new brand will be the recently acquired Paraiso de la Bonita.

Instead, AMResorts has opted to go with Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts. The brand will be boutique hotels representing “the highest level of luxury, characterized by unequaled romantic and holistic experiences combined with socially responsible practices, expressive architecture and exceptional service in natural and enriching environments,” according to a written release.
