Aqua Adds Hotel at Yearend

Honolulu-based Aqua Hotels and Resorts is adding the 80-room Coconut Plaza Hotel in Waikiki to its roster as of December 30. On that date, the hotel will be renamed the Aqua Coconut Plaza; it currently is managed by ResortQuest Hawaii. The hotel initially will be marketed as an Aqua Lite; renovations of several million dollars are planned for early next year that will bring the property into the Aqua Boutique Collection.
