Avalon Promotes New Itineraries With Incentive

In 2008, Avalon Waterways is offering a 12-day sailing in Burgundy and Provence on Avalon Scenery, and, as part of an incentive that encompasses the entire Globus family of brands, the line is running a promotion on all new 2008 itineraries, where agents receive a $500 bonus on bookings of 16 or more and $250 on groups of eight to 15.

Groups must be booked with deposit by November 30 for travel by December 31.

Avalon’s “Flavors of Burgundy & Provence” traverses land and sea, spending two nights in Paris to explore the French capital. After driving through Burgundy and stopping in Beaune for the first sampling of the region’s wine, guests board the ship to cruise the Saône and Rhône rivers. If guests wish to extend their trip, a stay in Provence can be added. Departures begin April 19, 2008, with prices starting at $2,749 per person.
