Scottish Townhouse-Style Hotel Reopens With New Owners

Roseate Hotels & Resorts, a growing hospitality brand known for its collection of luxury hotels in the United Kingdom and India, has announced the opening of The Roseate Edinburgh. Spread across two newly refurbished, heritage Victorian townhouses, the hotel blends the story of the Scottish capital with contemporary luxury and comfort. Located in Edinburgh’s West End, it is just five minutes from the Haymarket railway station and less than 20 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh Airport, and has stood at the gateway to old-town Edinburgh since the 1860s.

The boutique hotel, earlier known as the Dunstane Houses, offers 35 uniquely styled luxurious rooms and suites. The interiors of the hotel are inspired by the neoclassical design of old-town Edinburgh. The rooms and suites offer en-suite shower rooms, handcrafted beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, bathrobes, Scottish woolen throws, a range of Noble Isle amenities and a host of other features. The unique suites offer  four-poster beds and freestanding copper roll-top baths in the room, with views over Edinburgh’s cityscape, including the verdant Pentland Hills

For dining, the hotel's menu has been especially curated using seasonal Scottish produce paired with spirits from Highland breweries and distilleries. The Dunstane Restaurant & Bar offers a selection of rare and vintage whiskies from Edinburgh, native to the Highlands. It offers over 80 fine Scottish single malts in addition to a range of wines, craft and artisanal gins from distillers in Scotland and beyond. The name "Dunstane Restaurant & Bar" is an ode to the erstwhile name and legacy of the hotel. A traditional Afternoon Tea experience has been curated. It includes dainty sandwiches, home baked cakes and fluffy scones slathered with jam and Scottish cream paired with a fresh brew of one's choice.

The Roseate Edinburgh is also well suited for corporate meetings and get-togethers. The meeting room, Club Prive, can host up to 36 guests in a sit down setting and up to 50 guests, standing. The Hotel also has a conservatory garden, Club Prive Conservatory & Garden, where smaller meetings and events can be held. The Club Prive Conservatory & Garden can host up to 10 guests in a sit down setting and 12, standing. Owing to its bespoke offering of luxurious rooms & suites, landscaped gardens and dining options, it is also a destination that can be considered for intimate weddings.
