BodyHoliday St. Lucia to Close July 1 for $20 Million Upgrade

BodyHoliday St. Lucia recently announced a nearly $20 million renovation, just in time for the property’s 30th anniversary. As part of the plan, the resort will transform its guest rooms, six restaurants, public spaces and back-of-house facilities. Doors will close on July 1 for renovations and will reopen on August 26.

A total of 76 Luxury Ocean View rooms at this resort in St. Lucia will receive a full makeover, including dedicated single rooms and twin bedrooms. The rooms will receive lighter and brighter color schemes, as well as all-new beds and furniture, including new cupboards and a mini bar. New artwork and surround-sound USB speakers will also be added. The bathrooms will also be upgraded with rainfall showers and an airier décor. Even the guest rooms’ air conditioning will be updated.

BodyHoliday will also be introducing two new villas: Villa Lara and Villa Calypso. These villas will include an apartment and a junior suite that can be rented either separately or as a full unit. The larger apartment will have a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, pool with a deck, verandah and outdoor dining room. The smaller junior suite will have a balcony, foyer and master bedroom.

Following the refurbishment of the 33 treatment rooms in 2017, the resort’s Wellness Center will undergo further updates, including the changing facilities.

With regards to the resort’s food and beverage offerings, TAO, the Asian-fusion fine-dining restaurant, will be fully renovated with a new look, introducing a more modern feel and a newly installed outdoor deck. The renovation will mark the introduction of an extended organic menu, while the new deck will host lectures on a variety of wellness subjects during the day. A new sushi counter and juice bar will also be added to the property.

The resort will reopen this August with the launch of the BodyHoliday Guest App, which is designed to further enhance guests’ ability to personalize their vacations.
