BodyHoliday has announced its new lineup of 2020 Theme Months. The calendar of special wellness programming is led by Olympic medalists and award-winning athletes; activities include yoga, sailing, dance, swimming and more.
BodyHoliday’s Theme Months will take place over the following sets of dates in the year ahead:
- Spring Sail: March 1-29, 2020
- Yoga Master Classes: March 29 – April 12, 2020
- WellFit: March 29 – April 25, 2020
- Jive June: May 31 – June 28, 2020
- WellFit Families: July 5 - August 30, 2020
- September Solos: September 1-27, 2020
- Octoba Yoga: October 13 – November 3, 2020
- SwimFit & Swim Adventure: November 5-15, 2020
- Pre-Christmas Restorative Break: December 1-22, 2020
Spring Sail: Guests will have the opportunity to learn to sail from Olympic sailors Nick Thompson and Hannah Diamond. From introductory lessons for first-timers to competitive regattas for more experienced sailors, there is something for everyone.
Yoga Master Classes: Led by Trevor Laurency, BodyHoliday’s fitness and wellness instructor, the program will include a series of yoga master classes like Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Yogalates and more.
WellFit: The month-long program will aim to assist in transforming guests’ bodies, attitudes and approaches to health and wellbeing. Guests partaking in WellFit will have the opportunity to learn from Donna Fraser, a four-time Olympic runner, and Olympic boxer Natasha Jonas.
Jive June: Featuring a whole month dedicated to dance, Jive June is the ideal combination of fun, education and cardiovascular exercise. The program is curated with over 40 different types of dance classes and will be led by award-winning professional dancers Robin Windsor, Mila Lazar and Jennifer Benavidez. BodyHoliday guests will learn the Argentine Tango, Cuban Cha, American Jive and Caribbean Merengue, among others.
WellFit Families: WellFit Families is a fusion of adventure, sports and family-fun activities. For 2020, the program will be led by Olympic sprinter Jamie Baulch, Olympic gymnast Kristian Thomas, Rugby Hall of Famer Martin Offiah and Olympic hurdler Sally Gunnell.
September Solos: September Solos is a retreat designed for likeminded solo travelers. Guests can explore the property with a customized itinerary of spa treatments, fitness classes and group activities. The program also includes cocktail and dinner parties and a sunset cruise. The hosted group activities will be led by celebrity fitness trainer Anthony Lynch, rugby players Max and Thom Evans and dancer Lauren Jamieson.
Octoba Yoga: Octoba Yoga will offer both expert and novice yogis endless lessons throughout the resort from sunrise to sunset. The program will be led by Natasha Richardson, an expert in yoga and meditation, and will offer classes in Hatha, Ashtanga, Shanthi and Katti Yoga. Guests will also enjoy a dedicated menu of yogic foods and teas, as well as special treatments at the Wellness Centre.
SwimFit & Swim Adventure: Guests will be personally coached by Olympic swimmers Keri-Anne Payne and David Carry. SwimFit is intended for guests who want to improve their technique, efficiency and speed. Swim Adventure allows advanced swimmers to compete in long-distance open water races, including the annual one-mile swim.
Pre-Christmas Restorative Break: The Pre-Christmas Restorative Break was designed by leading health and wellbeing experts to provide guests with the knowledge and experience to incorporate wellness into their everyday lives. Leading activities throughout the month will be Olympic sprinter Jamie Baulch, Olympic hurdler Colin Jackson and Olympic diver, Leon Taylor.
BodyHoliday’s programing is open to guests aged 16 and older, with the exception of WellFit Families when guests as young as 12 are welcome.
