Cap Cana, Solaya Hotels to Open Eden Roc at Cap Cana

Cap Cana, Dominican RepublicCap Cana, a luxury resort and real estate community in the Caribbean, and Solaya Hotels, a luxury boutique hotel development firm, have begun construction on Eden Roc at Cap Cana, a luxury boutique hotel in to open within Cap Cana's Dominican Republic property winter 2011-2012. Following completion of the $22 million development, the resort will have 37 bungalows/suites and 41 rooms, each with a private swimming pool and a private spa area.

Inspired by the French and Italian Riviera, the 85,600-square-foot property will be developed by Dominican-based Civilmek, S.A. as the principal contractor and Dominican Frank Ortega as the architect, as appointed by Solaya Hotels. Upon completion, the hotel will have 37 bungalows/suites and 41 rooms, ranging in size from 1,285 to 4,280 square feet, each with a private swimming pool and spa area.

"Our ultimate goal is to create a 6-star boutique hotel in a unique concept within the Dominican Republic rivaling the world's best boutique hotels in Europe, Asia and North America in every aspect," said Franck Messiah, vice president of Solaya Hotels.

Two restaurants will include the main restaurant featuring Italian and French Mediterranean cuisine, a private beach and an outdoor swimming pool. Clients can enjoy the spa, sauna and massages alongside the beauty salon, hairdresser and gym. Guests at Eden Roc at Cap Cana can also take advantage of Cap Cana's facilities, including a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, full service marina, spas, retail shops, water sports and yacht club.
