Continental Properties Co. Inc. is developing a $35 million aloft Chicago O'Hare hotel on the Chicago O'Hare site. The Menomonee Falls development firm was selected by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. to open the 251-room mid-market aloft brand--a spinoff of Starwood's W Hotels brand. The Chicago-area aloft hotel will be Continental's second hotel property. The company already owns a Hilton Hotel at Deerfield Beach in Boca Raton, FL. Paul Seifert, Continental's chief legal officer and company vice president, has stated that Continental's team of market researchers chose the Chicago O'Hare site for the aloft hotel and handled all the construction and management decisions.
