The Cool Pool of the Week: AC Hotel Guadalajara, Mexico

Tell Millennials heading to Mexico this holiday season and beyond about one of Guadalajara’s newest pools.

Located on the 12th floor of the AC Hotel Guadalajara, Mexico, the AC Pool offers impressive views to Old Town/Downtown Guadalajara on one side. On the other side are views of Andares, the upscale, modern new area of Guadalajara.

The heated infinity-edge pool is said to be the only elevated pool in the city. It is open all day, from 6 a.m. for a quick start to the day to a relaxing evening swim until closing at 11 p.m.

European style, clean modern lines and wood flooring make up the design of the pool area. The minimalistic design of the furniture reflect a feeling of greater space, comfort and elegance so guest can enjoy the views of a “Tapatio” style sunset. Also, music is played all day to create a peaceful environment.

You can order your favorite drink, or maybe have a shot of traditional tequila, but do not miss the “The Magma Gin,” made with local ingredients proper to the region, including royal lemon juice, endemic “Chile Morita” juice, cranberry juice, a frosted Collins glass with volcanic salt and a dehydrated royal lemon slice.

Agents should note that the space can be set for a private event for up to 50 people. The hotel, in fact, has had special events such as pool parties, fashion shows for important local designers and recently the grand opening featuring brand ambassador, photographer and entrepreneur Nigel Barker.

Located in the arts and financial district, the hotel is not far from the main cultural attractions and is perfect for a new generation of travelers looking to experience everything Guadalajara has to offer.

The AC Hotel Guadalajara, Mexico opened this August. The 188-room property marked the arrival of the AC Hotel brand in Mexico, and Marriott International’s continued growth in the Caribbean and Latin America region.
