Couples Tower Isle Opening Delayed Until April

Randall L. Russell, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Couples Resorts, told Travel Agent that Couples Tower Isle, formerly known as Couples Ocho Rios, will have its opening in Jamaica delayed until April 12. Travel Agent obtained this exclusive information at the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Marketplace 2009 in St. Lucia.

The resort, which was supposed to open March 14, is experiencing construction delays. Russell told us certain materials for the construction have yet to arrive. All bookings that were made from March 14 – April 12 will still be honored at any other Couples Resorts. Or clients have the option of moving their stays to when Couples Tower Isle officially opens. In both cases, clients will be given two complimentary nights for their inconvenience. Visit
