The Cove, Eleuthera Announces Renovation Plans

The Cove, Eleuthera has announced plans for a restaurant renovation among other updates to the property during its seasonal closure until November 6. The intimate resort is located 50 miles east of Nassau and a 45-minute flight from South Florida.

“The enhancements we have planned will further solidify The Cove as the premier resort destination on Eleuthera,” said Carlton Russell, managing director of The Cove. “With elevated dining, accommodations, programming and, of course, our serene location, we look forward to unveiling The Cove’s upgrades in November.”

California-based BAR Architects & Interiors has been tapped for the renovation project. Reopening with its current inventory of 27 villas, the refreshed interiors will feature a color palette of ivory and indigo with natural wood accents. Woven straw mats and rustic furnishings will adorn each villa.

Designed to be the focal point, Freedom Restaurant will undergo a complete transformation. Interiors will have a warm weathered teak palette and natural textures. Colors draw inspiration from the Caribbean islands, Atlantic Ocean and pineapples found in Gregory Town. Consisting of three new structures, Freedom will house a central sushi bar and an a bar area overlooking the hilltop pool. Floor-to-ceiling windows will provide waterfront views.

The resort will also introduce a refreshed fitness and wellness experience. The onsite gym will feature new equipment, besides a separate room for guided yoga classes.

Immersive programming such as organic garden tours, guided island outings to Queen’s Bath and Preacher’s Cave, and excursions with the resort’s boat captain will also be part of the guest experience.

The Cove, Eleuthera closed for guests on August 22 and will reopen on November 7, 2022.
