Travel Agent sat down with representatives of Eden Rock resort in St. Barths Tuesday and got some more details on their latest villa, Villa Rockstar, which officially opened in June.
Although the villa opened in the summer, you may not have heard much about it. The beach-side, 16,000-square-foot, three-level villa includes four master suites, two staff/children’s cabins, a screening room, a private gym, an office, cloisters, garage and cars, dining facilities, a pool table and sports area, and two pools. But perhaps its coolest feature is its own recording studio. The resort parented with Ocean Way Recording Studio of Hollywood and famous sound engineer Allen Sides, who recorded the “Thriller” album for Michael Jackson.
What’s even cooler than that is that the console used in the villa’s recording studio is the one used by John Lennon to record the song “Imagine.” Sonia Tejero, manager of the resort, says the studio is great for seasoned musicians, but also great for families looking to have a little fun.
“If it’s the mom’s birthday or something like that, we can record the children singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to her,” Tejero says, noting that the resort has two recording experts on staff to assist with any guest recordings.
