Emerson Resort & Spa Unveils New Holiday Cocktail Recipes

With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Emerson Resort & Spa in the Catskill Mountains has shared with the world some new seasonal cocktail recipes. The new recipes come from General Manager Greg Gagne of Woodnotes Grille, the signature restaurant at the resort.

Gagne’s top three new cocktails include:

Momma’s Holiday Helper

-1.5 oz. Armagnac

-¾ oz. Rothman & Winter Orchard Pear

-½ oz. Amaro di Angostura

-2 dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters

-Stir on ice and strain into a small coupe and express a lemon peel in the drink.

Santa’s Sleigh

-2 oz. Michters Rye

-½ oz. Nocino (Don Ciccio & Figli)

-¼ oz. Chine-China Biggalett

-¼ oz Cardamaro

-Stir on ice and strain into small coupe. Top with an apple slice and shave fresh cinnamon over drink.

Tangled Tinsel

-2 oz. 1857 potato vodka

-.5 oz lemon

-1 oz bacon Thai basil simple syrup

-3/4 ancho reyes

-Add all ingredients to an ice filled shaker, shake, and double strain into large glass coupe.

These new cocktails are also available at the Woodnotes for $12 each, along with its full drink menu and locally sourced cuisine that includes burgers, chops, seafood, vegetarian options and more.

Inspired by its location and its namesake, poet Ralph Waldo Emerson, the recently renovated 20-acre property is about a two-hour drive from New York City and features pet-friendly amenities, a dedicated dog park, the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope, a full schedule of events and more.
