Fairmont Singapore opened its doors on Wednesday, the group's first luxury hotel to open in Asia. Ensuing Asia projects include Fairmont Beijing, Fairmont Peace Hotel, Shanghai and a property on Macao's Cotai strip.
Fairmont Singapore is located within the Raffles City complex. (Raffles is a sister brand to Fairmont after the latter was acquired by Colony Capital and Kingdom Hotels International in January 2006.)
