Fitzpatrick Hotel Group Eyes Expansion

Fitzpatrick Hotel Group CEO John Fitzpatrick told Travel Agent the company might look to expand its presence in North America, eyeing such locations as New York, Washington, D.C. and Boston. "Location is important," said Fitzpatrick. "We are city hotels so that's where we'll look. We are always looking for new things." The group already has two locations in New York, Fitzpatrick Grand Central and Fitzpatrick Manhattan. The latter will undergo a round of renovations in June or July with a targeted completion date of September. The facelift will include updated public spaces, which will give the hotel a more cosmopolitan look, still steeped in Irish culture. The front desk will be removed, replaced with two stand-alone check-in desks, which will provide guests with a more personal touch.
