Located on the shores of Italy’s most famous lake, Hilton Lake Como has unveiled a new interactive culinary offering in partnership with “dinner theater” Le Petit Chef.
At Le Petit Chef, each guest can look forward to a show on their plate. Between courses, the table is transformed into a screen, whereupon the little chef entertains with various performances and recordings, because his attempts to prepare culinary masterpieces almost always end in disaster. Luckily, the kitchen crew of Hilton Lake Como always helps the virtual star out. The show moves into the background when the food is on the table.
A theatrical dining experience for adults and children aged six and above, diners will enjoy 3D cinema on their dining-table-turned-screen, alongside regional and international dishes created using the freshest, local ingredients and a selection of ice creams from Rossetti, Como’s popular ice cream shop. The carefully selected ingredients and dedicated kids’ and vegetarian menus cater to every taste. Le Petit Chef at Hilton Lake Como is available to book at the hotel’s lower-level Satin restaurant until August 2023, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. or 9 p.m. for €59 ($65) per child and from €129 ($142) per adult.
In addition, Hilton Lake Como’s rooftop restaurant Terrazza 241 has launched a new children’s menu with local favorites. Guests can also sample the new “Eat Your Drink” dessert cocktail, an edible tipple encased in a chocolate sphere combining milk, vanilla, coconut foam and crumble. Adult, alcoholic versions are also available.
Good to know: Hilton Lake Como recently unveiled new interconnecting rooms, alongside Family Deluxe King Rooms, which sleep up to four and cater to all ages. Little ones receive a special welcome package plus a dedicated “Kids Breakfast Experience” with all bookings.
Formerly a silk factory, Hilton Lake Como has 170 rooms and suites, a spa and a rooftop pool, bar and restaurant.
