Hotel Missoni to Open in South Africa, Oman

The Rezidor Hotel Group, the Brussels-based hospitality management company, has announced plans to open two more properties developed in collaboration with iconic Italian fashion house, Missoni, in Cape Town, South Africa and Jebel Sifah, Oman.

The announcement comes shortly after the first Hotel Missoni launch in Edinburgh, Scotland on June 8.

Hotel Missoni Cape Town will open in 2010, just in time for the FIFA World Cup. The "life and style" hotel will have 157 rooms, a signature Missoni Cucina restaurant, a bar, a rooftop terrace with a cantilevered swimming pool and views of Table Mountain, a full spa and small meeting and private dining facilities.

The Hotel Missoni Jebel Sifah featuring 250 rooms and 50 apartments and villas is scheduled to open in early 2012. The hotel will offer two restaurants, a spa, two tennis courts, a private beach featuring an array of water sports, multiple swimming pools, meeting rooms and a ballroom.

"We are delighted that the world of Hotel Missoni now extends from the ancient rocks of Scotland to the deserts of Arabia and now to the southern tip of Africa, in that continent’s most stylish city", says Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor.
