Hyatt Details Independent Collection Brands Expansion

Hyatt Hotels has announced the growth of its Independent Collection brands, which includes a strong development pipeline through 2025 across The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Destination by Hyatt and JdV by Hyatt brands.

Openings planned in 2023 and beyond as part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt include: Numu, a 44-room boutique hotel in Mexico’s San Miguel de Allende, slated to open in early 2023; Grand Hansa Hotel, a 219-key property slated to open in summer 2023 as the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Finland’s capital; the Noor-Us-Sabah Palace in India’s Bhopal, slated to debut as a 60-room heritage hotel in 2025 after extensive renovations; a 41-room boutique hotel in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, expected to join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in December 2023; and a second property scheduled to open in Tokyo in 2023.

Additions to the Destination by Hyatt brand in 2023 and beyond include: Banyan Cay Resort and Golf, set to open in summer 2023 in Florida’s West Palm Beach; and The Grand Resort Qingchengshan, the 231-room property situated in the vicinity of two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in China.

The JdV by Hyatt brand will also expand its collection in 2023 and beyond. Properties include: The Pell in Rhode Island’s Middletown, slated to open early 2023; FirstName Bordeaux, a 147-key hotel set to open early 2023 in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France; FILA House Shanghai, expected to open in 2024 as the inaugural FILA-branded hotel in the world; and Ronil, a 125-key hotel set on one and a half acres in Baga, India, which will join three other Hyatt hotels in the region, namely Alila Diwa Goa, Grand Hyatt Goa and Hyatt Centric Candolim Goa.

Hyatt recently signed an agreement with Lindner Hotels, relating to the Lindner Hotels & Resorts and the Me And All Hotels brands located in key cities across Europe. The collaboration is expected to add more than 30 hotels and approximately 5,500 rooms to Hyatt’s portfolio. The majority of these hotels will be included within the JdV by Hyatt portfolio, and the hotels are expected to join World of Hyatt in the near future.
