IHG to Open First Holiday Inn Express in Dominican Republic

InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a management agreement to open the first Holiday Inn Express in the Dominican Republic. The agreement is with Inverplata S.A. and the property will be built in Santo Domingo, the country's capital. The seven-story, 145-room hotel is already under construction and expectations are that the project will be complete by the end of 2007. The property is IHG's second collaboration with Inverplata S.A. in Santo Domingo, the first being the InterContinental V Centenario Santo Domingo.
