InterContinental Tampa Set to Open

The 323-room InterContinental Tampa, which is slated to open August 16, will have a rooftop pool with views of the bay, 21,000 square feet of meeting space, wireless high-speed Internet, a fitness center and concierge. InterContinental Tampa is owned by an affiliate of Lowe Enterprises Investments and will be managed by the wholly owned Lowe subsidiary Destination Hotels & Resorts. Three management appointments have also been announced: Michele Lewis, is the hotel's sales manager; Victoria Fernandez is the general manager of Shula's Steak House; Maria Campos, catering manager, is also a certified wedding consultant.
