JW Marriott has announced the opening of JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea. Surrounded by the Sea of Marmara, the new property offers guests an elevated stay in Istanbul’s Atakoy district.
The hotel’s 204 guestrooms and suites are housed within 17 floors. While most offer balconies facing the sea and city skyline, all feature marble bathrooms with large soaking tubs, rain showerheads, flat-screen televisions, and separate working and living spaces. The hotel’s suites offer contemporary living rooms and dedicated kitchen areas. The Signature and Presidential suites have terrace jacuzzis and Bose music systems in the living room. The Presidential Suite also features a private gym and an additional indoor jacuzzi. Besides executive room guests, Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members can enjoy access to the exclusive Executive Lounge, which offers complimentary breakfast and a selection of cocktails, snacks and desserts throughout the day.
When it comes to dining, the all-day Ceres serves Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian and fusion dishes. It also has a brick-oven centerpiece for baking breads and pizzas. The outdoor terrace offers live cooking stations and open kitchens. At The Pearl, guests can take in views of the sea while enjoying afternoon tea and cocktails alongside light bites. The Vitola Lounge offers cigars, light dishes and curated cocktails, while Spa Lounge offers a menu of fresh juices and healthy snacks. Sail Bar is set around the hotel’s outdoor infinity pool and offers appetizers and cocktails accompanied by live music. Michelin-starred chef Akira Back, who has restaurants in Las Vegas, Paris, Dubai and London, will introduce his Japanese cuisine to Turkey this June at the property.
The hotel presents a farm-to-table program anchored by JW Garden, an organic and herb botanic garden featuring tomatoes, mint, parsley, rocket, rosemary, olives and local greens. The fresh produce is used throughout the hotel’s dining venues.
La Vallée SPA offers a range of signature treatments and wellbeing packages. It has eight treatment rooms, an exclusive VIP treatment room and private jacuzzi. The hotel also houses indoor and outdoor infinity pools, a children’s pool and Turkish hammams.
The La Vallee Fitness and Wellness Centre features Technogym equipment. Programming includes yoga sessions, breathwork training and a range of fitness classes. Family-friendly experiences including sailing classes, luxury excursions and walking tours are also available.
The hotel provides over 23,142 square feet of event space, eight meeting rooms, high-end visual facilities, a 600-person ballroom, bridal room and a 24-hour business center. Catering options range from light refreshments to full banquet menus.
Guests can indulge in retail therapy without leaving the grounds as the complex is home to 11 boutiques, including a bespoke tailor Milimetrik, an antique emporium, fashion brand Vakko and a designer jewelry store. Shopping experiences are also available nearby at A Plus, Galleria and Carousel. The hotel is located near popular attractions including Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, Galata Port, Dolmabahce Palace, Taksim Square and Istanbul Aquarium.
The hotel is a 45-minute drive from Istanbul International Airport. It is also close to Istanbul Ataturk Airport, which offers access to private jets.
