Karisma Hotels & Resorts has announced the expansion of Azul Beach Resort The Fives Playa del Carmen, Luxury Resort & Residences. The resort has opened Villa 19 – a 43,000-square-foot high-end, adults-only section – comprising the property’s first two heated pools, a day club and grill, and 53 resort residences. Additionally, the property introduced a new garden wedding venue that expands upon, and allows for larger celebrations, at its existing beachfront setting.
Accommodations at Azul Beach Resort The Fives Playa del Carmen now include an additional 53 one-, two- and three-bedroom resort residences, plus deluxe options and luxurious penthouses, as a part of Villa 19. The residences have modern furnishings, comfortable living and social areas, premium bath amenities and a private terrace.
The new sandy poolside hangout includes a lounge, grill and bar serving cocktails and fresh cuisine on an outdoor terrace. There will also be poolside service available at the property’s first heated pools. The new Natura pool and swim-up pools allow adults access to relax or enjoy the entertainment.
The renovation also includes a refreshed lobby and an expanded beachfront infinity pool. The pool space surrounded by 148 loungers and 40 cabanas, plus a centralized circular bar with hanging rattan chairs.
The new wedding/event space, an expansion of the popular beachfront venue, now allows for up to 200 guests for a seated dinner and includes a dance floor and spacious reception area.
Azul Beach Resort The Fives Playa del Carmen, Luxury Resort & Residences, by Karisma is a “Gourmet Inclusive.” Other amenities include the Zky Bar with views of the Caribbean, the new Club82 Wine Bar, the first international tasting room by Jackson Family Wines, and the 15,000-square-foot Vassa Spa.
Rates for Villa 19 at Azul Beach Resort The Fives Playa del Carmen start at $240 per person, per night, based on current promotions, which encompasses Karisma’s "Gourmet Inclusive Experience" of a la carte dining, premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, full-service concierge, and 24-hour room service
