Las Vegas to Get More Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will open in December (the only new hotel opening in Las Vegas this year), in a prime location on the Las Vegas Strip, right next to the Bellagio. Housed in two 50-story towers (providing a unique vertical perspective of the city), the Cosmopolitan will offer a "boutique" experience with 2,995 rooms, each with open air balconies and residential style furnishings.

Rooms and public areas designed by David RockwellJohn Unwin, formerly of Caesar's Palace, has been named the CEO of the Cosmopolitan and is putting together a management team to oversee the hotel's gaming, spa, pool, retail and food and beverage operations. The resort will offer innovative new membership offerings, three distinct pool environments, a 110,000-square-foot casino and views of the Strip at every turn.

The restaurant line-up includes Jaleo and a new Chinese-Mexican fusion concept by chef JoséAndrés; Blue Ribbon by restaurateurs Bruce and Eric Bromberg; Comme Ca by Los Angeles chef David Myers; New York City's Estiatorio Milos by restaurateur Costas Spiliadis; Scarpetta and a new casual wine bar by award-winning chef Scott Conant; and popular steakhouse STK from The One Group.
