Bergman Design House, the studio founded by Marie Soliman and Albin Berglund, has unveiled The Lund Collection, launching in the Cotswolds in spring 2022. The one-bedroom private cottage is located a "stone’s throw" from Chipping Norton and Great Tew, and is well suited for couples, friends and solo travelers alike.
The Lund Collection is decorated by the husband-and-wife team and includes a curated collection of original artwork and vintage treasures alongside bespoke furniture from the studio’s Black Berg Collection. The collection includes 17th-century Chinese ceramics, an 18th-century marriage armoire reimagined as a drinks cabinet and a deep-soaking bathtub, among others.
The property sports a palette that's intended to reflect all four seasons, from the vibrant green of summer to the russet-oranges of autumn. The duo has collaborated with furniture and textile artisans in the U.K., including Upholstory, Robert Kime, Tori Murphy and de Le Cuona.
The private cottage is Bergman Design House’s foray into a new line of luxury individual accommodations in the U.K., providing privacy and elevated guest experience. Guests can expect a fully stocked bar, hand-curated welcome hamper and a Swedish Moccamaster coffee machine.
Creating and designing the property has been a passion project for Soliman and Berglund, and in a press announcement they say they hope it will be a sanctuary for future guests seeking zen and an escape in the countryside.
