Mama Shelter Opens Second Paris Property, Mama Paris West

More than a decade since its launch in 2008, Mama Shelter returns to where the brand made its debut, opening its second property in Paris and the 12th hotel in the group’s portfolio. Located in the 15th arrondissement, Mama Paris West has architecture by Jean-Michel Wilmotte and design elements by up-and-coming French designer Dion & Arles.

Mama Paris West has 207 rooms with king-sized beds, luxury linens, and 43-inch TVs with in-room entertainment systems. Each room comes complete with complimentary films, Wi-Fi and a selection of products from the MAMA SKIN range of organic amenities, designed in partnership with French skincare brand Absolution

With 4,000 square feet of space dedicated to communal areas, including nine ateliers and a lounge area, there is plenty of space to work, relax and meet for a drink. Guests can unwind in front of the open fire in the all-day restaurant or dine al fresco on the terrace, complete with its very own half-size basketball court. There is also a gym and sauna.

The lobby will shift through the day from meeting and working spaces to a spot for drinks and dancing, while the hotel rooftop will offer 360-degree views of the city. Guests can also create personal souvenirs of their Mama Shelter experience by designing and printing their own t-shirts and totes at the hotel shop.

The hotel is minutes from the Porte de Versailles exhibition center, which hosts hundreds of events every year. It is also 20 minutes from the city center. Nearby are busy avenues and small side streets lined with shops, restaurants, markets and boulangeries. Guests of Mama Paris West are a short walk from Parc André Citroën and Parc George Brassens, with its famous aromatic garden.

Mama Shelter has properties in Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Belgrade, Prague, Toulouse, Lille and London. In the pipeline are properties in Luxembourg, Bahrain, Dubai, Santiago de Chile, Lisbon and more, which are set to open by 2022.
