The MarBella Collection Hotel Group Announces $45 Million Investment

The MarBella Collection Hotel Group has announced plans for further expansion via a targeted investment program from 2022 through 2025. The main goal of these investments include the creation of new hospitality units besides the strengthening of MarBella Corfu and MarBella Nido, consolidating the presence of the group in the Greek tourist market.

This year’s investment plan of €5 million (approximately $5.6 million) for MarBella Corfu includes the addition of two restaurants to its existing range of culinary options, besides an Aqua Park. For the 2023 season, a complete renovation of all rooms, suites and common areas is on the cards, with an investment of €10 million (approximately $11.2 million).

Furthermore, 25 luxury suites with sea views will be added to MarBella Nido, representing an investment of €3 million (approximately $3.4 million). The construction is expected to be completed in 2024. Within the same time frame, another €2 million (approximately $2.2 million)will go towards the creation of the group’s headquarters, as well as functionally autonomous food and supply warehouses, which will serve all hotels.

The group also announced the creation of a new hotel unit in Corfu, with a capacity of up to 200 beds. The project has a horizon of completion in 2024 and a budget of €15 million (approximately $16.8 million). At the same time, the group’s presence in Thesprotia will be strengthened, thanks to the creation of a €3.5 million (approximately $3.9 million) complex of luxury villas in the area of Karavostasi, adjacent to the recently launched MarBella Elix.

The investments of the MarBella Collection Group are already in full swing and currently on schedule. The investment program, which is projected to exceed €40 million (approximately $44.8 million) over a three-year window, actively supports the local community in an extremely demanding situation following the pandemic. During the construction phase, the group will employ about 700 people. Once the units are operational, the group is expected to provide employment to 850 persons in total.
