Marrakech Awaits for Monte-Carlo SBM

Exterior-3

The Hôtel Hermitage is one of four current properties in Monte-Carlo SBM's portfolio.

Monte-Carlo SBM is coming to Marrakech. The group, which currently operates four hotels in Monaco, is taking its game to Marrakech with the 83-room Jawhar Marrakech slated to open in late 2010.

Here's what we know so far: Jwhar will be an enclosed environment with high walls that lead to a courtyard, landscaped gardens, ponds, olive groves and palm trees (sounds delightfully funky). What sounds even better is the hotel's three-in-one pool (whatever that means) featuring three different water temperatures. Now we understand hot and cold. Will the third temp be luke warm?

There will also be a host of activities from tennis to a fitness trail, as well as a full-service spa.

Get to the rooms already! Ok. There will be four categories of suites, including Menara suites that overlook the pool area; Atlas suites with huge terraces and sweet views of the Atlas Mountains; and Garden suites with their own courtyards and private pools. Hey, that's only three. Excuse me. The Royal suite will be a free-standing pavilion with an enclosed courtyard.
