Representatives of the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort have announced the appointment of Michael Jokovich to the position of area vice president and general manager. 

In these positions, Jokovich will oversee the day-to-day operations of the 15-acre beachfront resort. He will be responsible for the vision and development of Andaz Maui and managing all operational aspects at the property including sales, marketing, revenue management, food and beverage and future growth efforts. 

As an area vice president, Jokovich will also support other Hyatt properties in Hawaii as well as properties in Texas and Minneapolis

Joining Hyatt Hotels in 1984, Jokovich brings more than three decades of experience. Most recently as area Vice president and general manager of Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, TX, Jokovich oversaw Hyatt branded properties throughout the central United States

Prior to that, he was area vice president and general manager of the Grand Hyatt San Francisco. Throughout his career, Jokovich has also lived in Hawaii numerous times, previously serving as general manager of Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa and Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa.

Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort has 300 guest rooms and suites, including 10 luxurious two- to four-bedroom residential villas along with outdoor infinity pools; a 14,000-square-foot spa with a private adults-only pool, an apothecary retail and fitness facility; more than 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space and two full service restaurants, including Morimoto Maui by chef Masaharu Morimoto.
