Meliá Chiang Mai Unveils “Hotel Within a Hotel” Concept

Thailand’s Meliá Chiang Mai has launched a “hotel within a hotel” concept called The Level, which includes 43 rooms and suites, a private lounge and a range of bespoke privileges.

Housed on the upper floors of the 22-story hotel, The Level Rooms (323 square feet), The Level Premium Rooms (473 square feet), The Level Suites (667 square feet) and The Level Presidential Suite (1,216 square feet) afford some of the city’s best views. Guests staying in these rooms receive an upgraded level of service and benefits, including exclusive access to the 21st floor executive lounge. The Level Lounge, located just under the rooftop Mai The Sky Bar, offers all-day snacks and beverages accompanied by vistas of the city and the Doi Suthep Temple on the mountaintop to the west.

Guests enter the venue under an arch that pays homage to a nearby temple. In a salute to Chiang Mai’s Bo Sang Umbrella Village, large installations of illuminated umbrella ribs cling to the ceiling. Various artworks of umbrella canopies adorn the walls. A private breakfast service from 7 to 10:30 a.m., afternoon tea from 2:30 to 4 p.m., and cocktails and canapes for adults only from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. are among The Level privileges.

Guests also enjoy complimentary use of The Level’s meeting room for two hours per stay and a 10 percent discount at YHI Spa.

Good to know: The Level guests will also have access to all of Meliá Chiang Mai’s facilities, including bars Mai The Sky Bar and Tien Pool Bar, restaurants Mai Restaurant and Bar, and Laan Na Kitchen, Ruen Kaew lobby lounge, YHI Spa, a swimming pool, gym, children’s club and more.

Meliá Chiang Mai is located on the Charoen Prathet Road by the Ping River and Night Bazaar. The property is located nearly four miles from the Chiang Mai International Airport. Nearby attractions include the Old Town with its ancient moat and red-brick walls and the city’s oldest temple Wat Chiang Man.
