MGM Mirage and the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse have signed an agreement to develop luxury non-gaming hotels and resorts around the world, beginning their efforts in China. The parties expect that the joint venture will develop a brand identity that ties MGM Grand with Diaoyutai. The state guesthouse is a Beijing icon, having served as a venue for diplomatic activities, and housing visiting heads of state, senior government officials and celebrities during its almost 50-year existence.
