Millennium Hotels and Resorts has promoted Patricia Armstrong from director of sales and marketing at the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York to vice president of national sales and global accounts for the Millennium Hotels and Resorts North America.
In her new position, Armstrong is responsible for developing a sales strategy that drives revenue in the U.S. region. She is also charged with recommending and implementing policies that streamline processes and procedures to serve Millennium's clients and guests more efficiently. Another key responsibility is oversight of major global accounts working with sales teams across the U.S.
"Patricia Armstrong has proven to be an invaluable asset at the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York, and we look forward to her applying her skills and leadership qualities to her new position with the corporate team," said Roger Swadish, senior vice president, Millennium Hotels and Resorts gateway city hotels, North America.
Armstrong joined the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York in January 2011, after serving as vice president of sales and marketing for New York Hotel Management. With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, she began her career as an assistant food and beverage manager at a luxury hotel in Washington, D.C. She quickly earned an outstanding reputation for sales leadership, developing a wide range of clientele and excellent client relations, while working with several top-quality hotel groups in management positions, including Hilton, Hyatt Resorts Caribbean, and Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts where she started as a global director of sales and then became vice president of sales for the Americas.
Armstrong attended Virginia Wesleyan College and also studied business management and culinary arts at The Restaurant School of Philadelphia.
