Mondrian Singapore Duxton Opens Its Doors

Mondrian Singapore Duxton has opened its doors in the food- and fashion-forward Southeast Asian city state.

Guests of the 302-room Mondrian Singapore Duxton will have access to a cast of iconoclasts and change-makers from across the fields of hospitality, cuisine, design, fashion, nightlife and art; they will guide travelers to the best the city has to offer. Options include the Duxton neighborhood’s barista cafes, Michelin-starred eateries, in-the-know bars, galleries and independent boutiques.

Upon entering the hotel, travelers will be greeted by the "deconstructed shophouse chic" of Los Angeles-based hotshop Studio Carter. Instead of a lobby, the hotel has a restaurant and bar. In addition, Mondrian Singapore Duxton houses a café, cocktail bar and rooftop bar and restaurant that combine historic architecture from Singapore’s centuries-old shophouses with a new build of modern, contemporary influences.

Butcher Dario Cecchini presides over the flagship dining experience, Bottega di Carna, a modern Italian eatery "with a rebellious spin and a touch of Tuscany." Executive Chef Alastair Clayton and Chef de Cuisine Kenny Huang and their teams add theater in the open kitchen, while prime cuts of the meats can be seen hanging in display cases.

Accessed by a secret tunnel and celebrating "the wild nature of Southeast Asia," Jungle Ballroom is a tropical cocktail bar. It is a place where cocktails, creative and classic, meet adventures in mixology, served from a sunken lavastone bar amid glimpses of the jungle outside. Christina’s offers a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city, serving coffee from baristas in the day; by night, the space transforms into a devoted wine, cocktail and sharing plates venue, made with partnerships with some of Singapore’s local artisans.

At the Rooftop Bar and Poolside Cabanas, guests can be transported to the glamour of 1970s Hollywood at Canyon Club, surrounded by the views of the Singapore skyline. Fresh, seafood-forward dishes and colorful crafted cocktails are the highlights of this California-inspired menu.

Good to know: Guests can receive 30 percent off the best available rate on room or suite, as well as complimentary breakfasts, guaranteed late checkout and a $30 Mondrian credit to enjoy at the four bars and restaurants. The deal is valid for stays until December 31, 2023.
