Montavista Courtyard and Suites to Open at the End of 2006

Big plans—$12 million worth—are underway to create enhanced new rooms at Royal Palms Resort and Spa, managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, in Arizona. An all-new enclave of 70 rooms will surround the Montavista, a Mediterranean-style courtyard with a tiered garden, reflecting pools and fountains, bringing the resort's total room count to 119. The Montavista is scheduled to debut near the end of December 2006, and features will include: 17 Montavista guest rooms and suites offering views of Camelback Mountain, 45 Valencia guest rooms and suites, a two-bedroom Alvadora Spa Villa, and six Alvadora Spa suites.
