New Grand Park Hotel Rovinj Opens in Croatia

The Monte Mulini complex—a conglomeration of hotels near the Old Town of Rovinj, Croatia—is completed following the opening of Grand Park Hotel Rovinj. The complex also includes:

  • The Monte Mulini hotel—opened in 2009
  • Lone—a hotel which opened in 2011,
  • The recently renovated Hotel Eden.

The bulk of the investment went to the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj—the largest individual investment by Adris grupa in its tourism business subdivision, worth nearly 700 million kuna (over $100 million). The hotel project, starting in 2017, was declared a strategic project by the Government of the Republic of Croatia.

The Grand Park Hotel Rovinj is part of the Maistra Collection brand. The building project was a collaboration between Adris and the Croatian architecture studio 3LHD. The location and the specific configuration of the terrain inspired the cascading type of construction and the creation of green rooftops over an area of ten thousand square meters. The hotel, part of a slew of European hotels opening in 2019, has 193 rooms and 16 suites distributed across six floors, with a total capacity of 500 guests.

The hotel has six on-site restaurants. Apart from Cap Aureo, the signature restaurant, the guests of Viva Eufemia Lobby Bar can smoke cigars and experience the largest champagne selection in Croatia.

The Grand Park Hotel Rovinj also includes the Àlbaro Spa&Wellness—spread across 3,800 square meters of indoor and outdoor space on two floors, including an area with three outdoor pools at the top of the hotel. There are three saunas, two steam rooms with various temperatures and special aromatic programmers, two smaller cold pools, and a shower area for a complete thermal cycle.

While the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj will launch sometime soon, the opening ceremony of the luxury Monte Mulini area and new hotel will be held in late May. From May 29 to June 2, 2019, several guests will be able to experience one of the world's most popular sailing competitions and other complementary activities.
