More Canadian Locations for InterContinental's Hotel Indigo

InterContinental Hotel Group continues to expand its boutique Hotel Indigo brand this month, launching its Hotel Indigo Toronto Airport property as it announces plans for a third Canadian hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, set to open in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Located near the Toronto Pearson International Airport, the Hotel Indigo Toronto is designed to give weary business travelers a taste of the city, even if they spend most of their visits in boardroom meetings. The 120-room hotel features photographic murals of the city's skyline and is located about 15 minutes away from the restaurants and art galleries of downtown Toronto. Rooms offer spa-inspired baths and high-speed internet access, and the hotel offers a sauna, indoor pool and fitness studio, as well as nearly 2,000 square feet of meeting space for business events.

The Hotel Indigo Toronto Airport is owned by 1542543 Ontario, Inc., and managed by Sunny Hospitality under a license agreement with IHG.

Hotel Indigo's 153-room Vancouver location is located in the city's West Side neighborhood and is slated to open before the Winter Olympics begin this February. The hotel features 42 corner suites with panoramic views of mountains and the Pacific Ocean and is owned by Plaza 500 Hotels Ltd.

With the addition of Hotel Indigo Toronto there are currently 27 Hotel Indigo properties open worldwide and more than 60 hotels under development. Properties in New York City, San Diego, St. Louis and Miami Beach are scheduled to open by the end of 2009.
