“I stayed at the One&Only Palmilla,” she adds. “‘Wow!’ is all I can say. I’m told Capella Pedregal should give it a run for its money. Zoetry Casa del Mar, which I saw [again] last year, is very Mexican and charming. I really liked it. Hopefully, Zoetry will do a good job with it.”

Los Cabos, one of Mexico’s top resort destinations, welcomed several new hotels and resorts last year, setting the stage for an exciting 2010.

Here are some new properties agents need to update themselves with.

Barcelo Los Cabos Palace Deluxe

A 10-minute drive from the town of San Jose del Cabo, Barcelo Los Cabos Palace Deluxe opened in December. The all-inclusive resort has 626 rooms and suites, and 34 swim-up suites.

Designed in the California hacienda style, the Barcelo Los Cabos blends classic Mexican charm with modern, luxurious amenities. These include three pools that together occupy more than 50,000 square feet of space; a children-only water park; and an 18,000-square-foot spa with 16 private treatment cabins and a hydrotherapy room. Zoetry Casa del Mar

Zoetry Casa del Mar, a 32-suite hacienda-style, beachfront boutique hotel, opened December 1.

Here, large oceanfront suites come with Jacuzzis, Rivolta bedding and private balconies. Gourmet dining, multiple tennis courts and access to the championship 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. Cabo Real Golf Course are the other highlights. Capella Pedregal

In July 2009, Land’s End welcomed the Capella Pedregal, a 66-room high-end hotel and residence resort built along the Cabo San Lucas Marina with views of the Sea of Cortes and the Pacific Ocean.

Capella Pedregal encompasses 24 acres of mountainside and oceanfront property, and is the flagship luxury beach resort of the newly unveiled Capella brand.

Sirena del Mar Los Cabos

Later this year, a new property will join the Los Cabos Hotel Association. Sirena del Mar Los Cabos, a Welk Resorts property, is a luxurious 7-acre resort perched on the cliffs above Cabo San Lucas with a view of El Arco. Each villa has an oceanfront view, and from December through March, guests can spot whales.
