Oberoi Announces 12 New Projects

EIH Ltd., the flagship company of the Oberoi Group, has announced plans for 12 new projects. Among them are luxury hotels bearing the Oberoi brand to be built in Bangalore, Goa, Gurgaon, the Maldives and Dubai, as well as a property in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The company plans to launch another luxury Nile cruiser in Egypt in mid-2007 and is converting Rajgarh Palace in Madhya Pradesh into a luxury hotel on a 60-acre site with a private lake. In other news, a joint venture company composed of EIH Ltd., the government of Rajasthan and the Indian Railways is proposing the development of luxury train service. The project has been approved by the Rajasthan government. The train will travel as follows: Delhi-Jaipur-Jodhpur-Jaisalmer-Udaipur-Ranthambhore-Agra-Delhi, with travel on the route taking seven days.
