Occidental Hotels & Resorts is expanding the upscale Occidental Grand resort brand on Mexico’s Pacific Coast by renovating the Allegro Nuevo Vallarta, located in Nuevo Vallarta in the up-and-coming Riviera Nayarit region. The Allegro closed in November to begin a $15-million renovation, and will open as the Occidental Grand Nuevo Vallarta in July.
A short 25 minutes north of the airport and 35 minutes from a bustling downtown, Occidental Grand Nuevo Vallarta will feature 266 rooms, a new pool (for a total of three pools), three new à la carte restaurants, three bars (including a newly added swim-up bar), additional meeting space for groups up to 250 people, wedding and honeymoon programs and more.
