Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber Renovates Guestrooms

The 495-room Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber is in the final phases of a total room renovation. By December, the $12 million project will be limited to the two bottom floors of the hotel, which will be closed off to guests. "While our rooms renovation program is slated for completion by February 2008, come December we'll have progressed to the point where all guests checking into the hotel will find themselves in a newly renovated guest room," said Dean Nakasone, general manager of Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber.

Rooms are being updated with new wood furnishings and flat-screen TVs as well as new carpeting, wallpaper, lighting, artwork, bed frames, headboards and enhanced custom-made bedding. Bathrooms will have marble floors and granite countertops. The Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber's lobby and Hibiscus Cafe restaurant will undergo renovations in 2008. Visit [http://www.ohanahotels.com]. (MR)
