Pan Pacific Vancouver Celebrates 25 Years

The Pan Pacific Vancouver, Vancouver’s premiere luxury waterfront hotel, celebrated its 25th anniversary last week. The hotel was built to celebrate Expo ’86 and has welcomed thousands of guests since.

Since the hotel opened its doors to the world in January 1986, many notable guests have stayed at the hotel, including Bill Clinton, the Dalai Lama and the Prince and former Princess of Wales.

Pan Pacific Vancouver commended its employees’ service and commitment to the hotel experience. Out of 429 employees, the Pan Pacific Vancouver had 21 employees celebrate 25 years of service, and 21 employees celebrate 20 years of service at the end of 2010. Another 17 employees will celebrate 25 years, and eight will celebrate 20 years at the end of 2011.

Hotel duty manager Carolyn Mason said, "You see how making a difference in someone’s stay or going above and beyond affects guests and it inspires you to continue making the extra effort."

In honor of the hotel’s 25th Anniversay, Pan Pacific is offering the BC Resident’s Weekend Package with the 5th night free. British Columbians can take advantage of the BC Resident’s Weekend Package starting from $189 for Cityview rooms. The package also includes complimentary self-parking, a late checkout of 2 p.m. and breakfast for two at the price of one in Cafe Pacifica. For those traveling from afar, the fifth night free offer ensures guests have enough time to sample Vancouver’s attractions, sightseeing, shopping and dining.
