The First Musica Opens as Part of Three-Hotel Complex in Rome

The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of The Pavilions Rome, The First Musica. Housed in a mid-century building originally designed by architect Mario Docci, and renovated by Studio Marincola, the five-star boutique hotel joins sister properties, The First Arte and The First Dolce.

Overlooking the Tiber River, The First Musica is just minutes from the Spanish Steps. Each of the 24 guestrooms and suites has floor-to-ceiling windows, dark boiserie on the walls, chic brass accents—from the bathroom fixtures to wireless speakers—and large-format modern artworks.

Serving up curated cocktails, fine wines, and Italian and international cuisine, accompanied by live music events and DJ sets, the sixth- and seventh-floor Alto rooftop bar offers views of the historic cityscape. Located on the fifth floor, Italian restaurant Oliva serves a menu of reinterpreted Roman and regional classics in its indoor and outdoor dining spaces.

The subterranean spa, slated to open in September, will have an indoor pool and wellness with two treatment rooms exclusive to guests.

Collectively labeled The First Roma, the three hotels—The First Arte, The First Dolce and The First Musica—complete a deconstructed urban resort experience that takes guests on a journey of sights, tastes and sounds. From the desserts of The First Dolce’s VELO restaurant and Chef Daniele Lippi’s tasting menu at The First Arte’s Michelin-starred Acquolina; to the collection of artworks exhibited at The First Arte; and the music filling the rooms and social spaces at The First Musica, guests can enjoy different twists of The First Roma lifestyle at each of the three hotels.

The Pavilions invites guests to “Experience Rome” with bespoke itineraries to immerse guests into the Eternal City’s history and hidden secrets. With The signature “Curated Journey,” guests can venture off the beaten track to explore secluded areas of the Vatican City, discover Rome’s subterranean secrets, or visit the art collection of Villa Borghese and embark on a tasting tour to relish Italian cuisine.

With the opening of The Pavilions Rome, The First Musica, The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts has a total of 11 owned or managed hotels and resorts in operation across Asia and Europe, with two more in the pipeline.
