Petit St. Vincent Reopens for 54th Season on Nov. 1

Petit St. Vincent Resort, the 115-acre private island getaway in the southern Grenadines, is ready to welcome guests back on November 1, following its annual summer closure. The start of Petit St. Vincent’s 54th consecutive season brings with it new ownership and a new general manager.

Inspired by new owner Tanja Ellis, founder of Culture Home, and her partner, this new season at Petit St. Vincent will unveil a series of renovations, additions and refreshed programs. Ellis, an American businesswoman, designer and philanthropist, will oversee enhancements to the property that will delight both new and returning guests, while maintaining the private island resort’s “casual, thoughtful luxury” feel.

Initial changes will include a new wellness center and spa, new furniture and soft goods in guest cottages and villas, including Terres d’ Afrique amenities and local spa products, besides a revamped wine cellar.

Additionally, the resort will welcome Chorten Wangyel, its new general manager. Wangyel has an impressive background in the luxury hospitality industry, most recently working closely with the development and pre-opening activities for Kisawa Sanctuary in Mozambique as general manager. In his previous roles, he worked as general manager of The Dunmore Hotel & Residences in the Bahamas, and held the same profile at The Cove Eleuthera, besides working in several roles with COMO Hotels worldwide.

“I am delighted to return to the Caribbean to lead one of the region’s most-sought-after resorts,” said Wangyel. “Petit St. Vincent is an incredibly special place, with a rich history. I am honored to be part of the team, and to help elevate the Petit St. Vincent experience as the resort embarks on a new chapter.”
