Radisson RED Debuts in Central London

The first Radisson RED hotel in central London, the Radisson RED London Greenwich The O2, opened its doors recently. Set in London’s hip borough of Greenwich, the 70-room select-service hotel offers riverside views and is just minutes from central London.

The O2 Arena, a popular entertainment venue for concerts and sporting events, is less than a mile away, while other nearby attractions include the Royal Museums Greenwich, comprising the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum and the Royal Observatory, home of the famous Prime Meridian, where east meets west.

The hotel’s guestrooms are spacious with large beds and have plenty of charging points and large desk areas making it easy for guests to work. Each room is decorated with large photo art and comes with a rain-effect shower. Good to know: The hotel is pet-friendly and allows guests to bring their four-legged friends along with them.

The hotel’s all-day restaurant serves creative food with a local focus, tailor-made for the Millennial lifestyle with a large selection of different pizzas and burgers, salads, shared platters, nachos, chicken wings and sweet potato fries. The hotel’s urban restaurant offers 50 seats, in addition to 20 more seats in the lounge area, where guests can enjoy late dinners, brunches, long breakfasts or just hang out on big sofas with lots of pillows. There’s a mix of low tables and big tables for larger parties, a stage for guests to work or play, and even a pool table.

The bar and lounge serves plenty of different drinks and cocktails and claims to be ready to fulfill special demands just in case guests like a drink that is not on the menu. Both hotel guests and locals can enjoy the restaurant, as well as the hotel’s “Grab and Go” offer on street-level, where the hotel serves croissants with ham and cheese and vegan options, all freshly made in-house, with all kind of sandwiches, salads and drinks. The hotel will also have a rooftop bar, NINE, all covered in glass, which will offer stunning views over the city and is set to open its doors later this fall.

Guests have easy access to the O2 Arena, as well as public transport links via the North Greenwich underground station within walking distance or a short bus ride away. London City Airport is only five miles from the hotel.
