Raffles Growing by Two

Raffles Hotels & Resorts is adding two properties to its network-one in Tianjin, China and the other in St. Lucia in the West Indies. When it opens next year, Raffles Tianjin will be that city's first penthouse hotel; a highlight will be the rooftop restaurant and bar. It will provide 116 rooms and suites on the uppermost floors of Tianjin Centre's West Tower. The hotel also will include a RafflesAmrita Spa, various dining spots, and meeting and banquet space. Raffles also has signed an agreement to manage a resort to be known as the Raffles St. Lucia; opening date is to be confirmed. The master project will include the 200-room resort, as well as residential components and estate lots. The resort will have a RafflesAmrita Spa, multiple dining locations and five pools. There also will be a golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. (CF, MA)
